A 15-minute virtual visit to arrange and interpret lab investigations: ordering blood or other tests appropriate to your concern — or that you need for monitoring — and reviewing what the results mean and what happens next.

Benefits

  • Appropriate tests ordered without an in-person trip
  • Monitoring labs for ongoing conditions or medications
  • Results explained in plain language at follow-up
  • Abnormal results actioned — prescriptions, referrals, or further testing arranged
  • Requisitions sent for a lab near you

Who it’s for

Patients who need new investigations (fatigue, thyroid, hormones, screening) or routine monitoring for an existing condition or medication. You must be located in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, or Prince Edward Island at the time of the visit.

What to expect

In the visit, Jennifer confirms which tests are appropriate (and which aren’t — unnecessary testing helps no one), sends your requisition, and books the results review. You’ll attend a lab in person for the blood draw, and results are discussed at a follow-up once available.

Results are typically available within a few days; interpretation happens at a follow-up review.

Before & after your visit

  • Before: Note any fasting requirements once your requisition is issued, and bring previous results if you’re monitoring a trend.
  • After: Get your blood drawn promptly; book the results review if not already scheduled.
  • Downtime: None for the visit; a quick lab trip for the draw.
  • Results: Typically available within a few days; interpretation happens at your review, not by guesswork from a portal screenshot.
  • Costs: Lab testing through public labs may be covered provincially for insured tests; private-pay tests (sometimes requested for certain panels) will always be flagged before ordering — no surprise bills.

Frequently asked questions

Can I request a specific test?
You can ask — Jennifer will explain if it’s appropriate and what it can and can’t tell you.

Do you do hormone testing?
Yes, where clinically indicated, with proper interpretation — hormone panels without context are a common source of confusion.

How do I get my requisition?
Sent to you or directly to the lab, as arranged in the visit.

What if a result is seriously abnormal?
Urgent results are actioned promptly with clear next steps, including referral or urgent care if needed.

Which provinces?
You must be located in ON, BC, SK, or PEI at the time of the visit.
