A 15-minute virtual visit to arrange a referral to a specialist or service — dermatology, fertility, mental health, imaging follow-up pathways, and more. Jennifer reviews your concern, confirms a referral is the right step, and sends a complete referral with the relevant history so you’re not starting from zero.
Benefits
- The right specialist, with a complete referral package
- Your concern reviewed first — sometimes the answer isn’t a referral at all
- Documentation and relevant results included
- Advice on expected wait times and what to do meanwhile
- A plan for follow-up while you wait
Who it’s for
Patients who know (or suspect) they need specialist care and want it arranged properly. You must be located in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, or Prince Edward Island at the time of the visit. Note: some specialists and programs require specific investigations completed first — the visit will identify these.
What to expect
Describe your concern when booking and upload any relevant records you have. In the visit, Jennifer confirms the referral destination, completes any prerequisite steps that can be done virtually (such as lab requisitions), and sends the referral. The specialist’s office then contacts you with an appointment — timelines are theirs, not ours.
Recommended sessions
Referral sent following the visit; appointment timing depends on the specialist’s waitlist.
Before & after your visit
- Before: Gather relevant records, imaging, or prior specialist letters if you have them.
- After: Watch for contact from the specialist’s office; if you haven’t heard within the timeframe discussed, follow up as advised.
- Downtime: None — virtual visit.
- Results: Referral sent following the visit; appointment timing depends on the specialist’s waitlist.
- Limits: A referral doesn’t guarantee acceptance or a timeline, and some referrals require an in-person examination first — if so, you’ll be told exactly what’s needed.
