Dermal fillers are gel-like products — most commonly hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance skin produces naturally — placed under the skin to restore volume and soften folds. At Diamond Aesthetics, filler is offered only for the cheeks, lips, chin, and nose — areas where Jennifer’s training and experience support the safest, most natural results. Filler is not offered for temples, under-eye, or jawline areas.
Benefits
- Restores cheek volume lost with age
- Adds shape, hydration, and definition to the lips
- Balances chin projection and profile
- Refines the nose profile without surgery (non-surgical rhinoplasty)
- Immediate visible results that can be adjusted over time
Who it’s for
Adults wanting to restore volume or refine features in the cheeks, lips, chin, or nose, who understand filler is temporary and requires maintenance. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection or cold sores in the area, or certain allergies — screened at assessment.
What to expect
Your visit starts with an assessment, photographs, and consent. Numbing cream or a dental-style block may be used. Treatment takes about 30–60 minutes, depending on the area. Results are visible immediately, then settle over about 2 weeks as swelling resolves.
Recommended sessions
Often one syringe per area is a starting point; Jennifer will recommend honestly, even if that’s less than you expected. Results are immediate, lasting roughly 6–18 months depending on the area and product; lips often swell for 2–3 days after treatment.
Before & after your visit
- Before: Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Bruising risk is higher if you take blood thinners or aspirin in the week before — never stop a prescribed medication without medical advice; discuss it at booking instead.
- After: Expect swelling for 2–3 days (lips often swell most). Use a cool compress, avoid makeup on the area for the rest of the day, and skip strenuous exercise, heat, and pressure on the area for 24–48 hours.
- Downtime: Swelling and possible bruising for a few days; plan at least 2 weeks before important events.
- Results: Immediate, lasting roughly 6–18 months depending on the area and product.
- Risks: Bruising, swelling, asymmetry, lumps, infection; very rarely (about 0.01%), filler can enter a blood vessel (vascular occlusion), which can damage skin or, extremely rarely, affect vision — which is why treatment by a trained medical provider, with dissolving enzyme (hyaluronidase) on hand, matters. Seek urgent care for severe pain, blistering, or skin colour changes after treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Does filler hurt?
Numbing is used, and most fillers contain lidocaine; most patients rate discomfort as mild.
Can filler be removed?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.
Will it look obvious?
Conservative amounts, built up gradually, keep results natural.
How much do I need?
Often one syringe per area is a starting point; Jennifer will recommend honestly, even if that’s less than you expected.
Is nose filler safe?
The nose is a higher-risk area requiring advanced training and careful assessment — candidacy is decided case by case.
Products we use
At Diamond Aesthetics we use Restylane® — a family of hyaluronic acid gels by Galderma, used as dermal fillers and Skinboosters. Fillers restore soft, natural volume to the cheeks, lips, chin, and nose ($500 per syringe). Restylane Skinboosters are micro-droplets of stabilized hyaluronic acid placed just under the skin to improve hydration, elasticity, and skin quality from within ($400) — a glow and texture treatment, not a volumizing one. Hyaluronic acid is reversible with hyaluronidase, which is also stocked at the clinic.
